Human Anatomy, Physiology & Kinesiology: (244 hrs)
- Systems Anatomy & Physiology: (152)
- System of the Body: (60) Detailed structure and function of all the systems of the human body as they pertain to therapeutic massage. Coursework includes lecture, presentations, and written exams
- Osteology: (20) Gross anatomy of the bones. Identification of bones of the human skeleton and their related landmarks. Coursework includes lectures, lab and written exams with emphasis on palpation skills
- Myology: (40) Identification of significant muscles, origins, insertions, function, shapes and actions. Coursework includes lecture, lab, hands-on work in building muscles with clay and written exams
- Case Studies: (32) Focus on common musculoskeletal injuries/pathologies and treatment protocol or referral
- Kinesthetics/Biomechanics: (92)
- An in-depth study of interrelationships between joint, joint structure and muscles as movement and activity occur. Both efficient and aberrant movement will be considered. Coursework includes lecture, hands-on application and written and practical exams
Clinical Pathology and Recognition of Various Conditions: (40 hrs)
- An outline of normal and abnormal physiology of the systems and a specific look at the affects of massage on commonly encountered conditions. Coursework includes lecture, presentations, case studies and written exams
Massage / Bodywork, Assessment and Application: (264 hrs)
- Swedish Massage Techniques Introduction: (52) Proper posture and draping as well as Swedish stroke techniques. Coursework includes hands-on practice, practical demonstration and written exam
- Neuromuscular Therapy: (24) Treatment based on principles of ischemia, trigger points, nerve entrapment/compression, and postural distortion
- Sports Massage: (4) Specific use of massage techniques to aid athletes in achieving and maintaining optimum performance. Coursework includes lecture, and hands-on application
- Assisted Stretching: (8) Students perform and assist in stretching exercises to improve client flexibility. Emphasis on proper movement and isolation on the muscle being stretched. Coursework includes lecture and hands-on application
- Massage Clinic: (112) Students will perform massage treatment utilizing all techniques learned under direct supervision of the instructor
- Self-Care through YOGA: (16) Use of stretching postures and breathing to develop self- awareness and maintain good balance throughout the massage. Coursework includes lecture and physical practice of various YOGA postures

- Seated Massage - technique and marketing of the chair massage
- Pre-natal Massage - theory and practice of massage on expectant mothers
- Aromatherapy - is a gentle healing art that incorporates the systemic use of natural essential oils to promote health and well-being
- Reflexology - an alternative medicine involving the physical act of applying pressure to the feet, hands, or ears with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques
- Raindrop Therapy - combines the science of aroma Technique with the techniques of Vita Flex, reflexology, massage, etc., in the application of essential oils, which are applied on various areas of the body to bring structural and electrical alignment
- Hot Stone Massage - is a massage that uses smooth flat, and heated rocks placed at key points on the body
- Esalen Massage - known for its healing and nurturing touch, it combines long strokes, gentle rocking and stretching, sculpting of deep musculature and the precision of acupressure
Adjunct Techniques & Methods that Theoretically Complete A Massage Program: (126 hrs)
- Bodywork Theory, History, Contraindication, Benefits, Precautions, Body Mechanics and Other Adjunct Techniques: (76)
- Preparation for National Certification Boards. Coursework includes lecture, group study, and mock exams

Business Practices and Professionalism: (60 hrs)
- Business Practices: (30) Introduction of business practices as they relate to the massage profession. Student will develop marketing tool and skills, PR skills and a complete business plan and resume. Coursework includes lecture, business plan/resume presentation and written exams
- Ethical Relations: (30) Communication principles and skills necessary to enable healthy professional client/therapist relationships. Coursework includes discussion, role-playing and written exams
